I completed my programme at University of the People and overall it was a positive experience. The biggest strength of UoPeople is its accessibility — being tuition-free makes higher education possible for students who might otherwise not afford it. The courses are structured well, and the online format gave me flexibility to study around my job and personal commitments.
The instructor and peer support was generally helpful, though because everything is online and asynchronous, it sometimes felt less personal than a traditional campus. I appreciated the diversity of classmates from all over the world, which enriched discussions and broadened perspectives.
While there were some challenges with pacing and occasional delays in feedback, overall I feel the programme gave me valuable skills and a credible credential that I can put toward my career goals. I would recommend UoPeople to self-motivated learners seeking a low-cost, flexible degree.

The university of the people is very very good in all aspects, especially when it comes to encouraging people to take you education serious no matter what you are doing whatever which country you’re coming from is acceptable and the tuition fee is free and the education system is very good.
The only thing that is affecting some of us especially we that are from Africa our time difference is really affecting us badly.
Like me now I’m a personnel we were sent to special duties, the village I am currently the network is very bad and is affecting my studies to the extend that I was absent for good 3 terms.
My experience at University of the People has been very positive. The courses are well-structured and allow me to learn at my own pace, which is ideal for balancing work, family, and studies. The instructors are knowledgeable, approachable, and provide helpful feedback on assignments. I especially appreciate the diverse, international student community—it’s inspiring to connect with peers from all over the world.
One thing that stood out was the emphasis on real-world skills and practical assignments, which prepared me well for professional development. While the online format requires self-discipline, the flexibility it provides is invaluable. I would highly recommend UoPeople to anyone seeking a quality, affordable, and flexible higher education option.

View more“I attended University from Term 3 and now I am still, studying Computer Science. Overall, my experience was positive. The faculty were knowledgeable and supportive, and I felt that the curriculum was both challenging and relevant to my career goals. The campus itself was well-maintained, with plenty of resources like libraries and study spaces that made it easy to focus on my studies.
However, there were a few aspects I found less favorable. The administrative processes could be quite slow at times, especially when it came to enrollment and financial aid. Additionally, I felt that some of the course content could have been updated to better reflect the current industry trends.
Despite these issues, I would still recommend University of the people, especially to students who are looking for a strong academic foundation and a supportive community. It’s a great place to study if you’re motivated and willing to navigate some of the bureaucratic hurdles.”
