Living in a region with many limitations did not hinder my learning; . This is not just a university, it is a global movement for empowerment.. The professors and international classmates are very supportive. I highly recommend this university to anyone looking for a credible and accessible educational path.

University of the People is an online university accredited by WASC. It’s tuition-free, which gives student who are less fortunate, more options in order to better their lives. The quality of education is good.

What would you highlight?

As a Sudanese medical student whose education was disrupted by war, University of the People (UoPeople) provided an accessible pathway to continue my academic journey in Public Health. The flexibility of the online format allowed me to volunteer in refugee camps while studying, which was crucial for someone in my situation.

What I liked:

· The self-paced weekly modules let me balance studies with humanitarian work and other certifications (like Stanford CME courses).
· Diverse student community – I interacted with peers from Africa, Asia, and the Americas, enriching my perspective on global health.

· Recommended if: You need a flexible, affordable, accredited degree and can thrive in an independent learning environment.
· Not ideal if: You prefer in-person teaching, need extensive faculty interaction, or seek traditional campus experiences.

My overall experience at this university has been very positive. The programme combined clear academic rigor with practical, hands-on learning, which helped me build both confidence and real professional skills. Most lecturers were highly knowledgeable and genuinely interested in seeing students succeed, often making time for additional help or feedback outside of scheduled hours.

The environment on campus was welcoming, and student services—from academic advising to career support—were consistently helpful. I especially appreciated the career workshops and networking sessions, which made it easier to connect with employers and understand different career paths.

On the downside, some administrative processes could be slow, and a few required courses felt less organized than others. However, these issues didn’t overshadow the overall quality of the programme.

Would I recommend this university? Yes—especially for students who value a supportive learning community, strong academic standards, and opportunities to grow both academically and professionally.

University of the People was founded by Mr. Shai Resheff, who had a vision of removing the higher gatekeepers from the higher educational experience. It is being called “the education revolution”. Comprising of a quarter million students and six thousand faculty from 200 countries. Many of which faculty contribute their valuable time, and energy to develop the student corpus. The global network is a very supportive environment, and flexible for adults and working professionals.

University of the People (UoPeople) has truly exceeded my expectations.
The courses are well-organized, the instructors are supportive, and the overall learning environment is very student-friendly. I really appreciate the flexibility of the online classes, which makes it easy to study alongside work or other commitments.
The study materials are updated, the assignments are practical, and the discussion forums provide quick support whenever needed. UoPeople has made quality education affordable and accessible for everyone.

I completed the BSHS (Bachelor of Science in Health Science) program at University of the People, and overall, it was a positive experience—especially given the tuition-free model. The program is fully online and very flexible, which made it easier for me to balance coursework with work and personal responsibilities.

What stood out most to me were the structured weekly assignments and the engagement with peers from many different countries. It’s not most likely a opinion, but I love UoPeople. The Institution is filled with well trained instructors that mold the mind of each person to think beyond the box. This noble institution has transform my life in believing quality education can be done online, regardless where you are from. UoPeople is legit, accredited, American online University. What I like about UoPeople is that they are tuition free and accredited and legit and the instructors are always there to help you understand what you don’t understand and it’s easy to study smoothly at anytime and anywhere.

I love University of the People because it offers quality education that is accessible and adapted for everyone all over the world. It is financially accessible for people with low income too since it is tuition free. I also like that it is flexible and gives you the chance to study even if you have a job, kids, or any other responsibility. I absolutely love the fact you have to choose each term how much work you can take. Life can be unpredictable in so many ways and knowing that I can take less courses if at times everything is hectic, or to freeze a term or two, it gives you the motivation to keep going.
I would totally recommend UofPeople to anyone who wants to continue to study. Don’t waste any more time, just register!
