Great University, great facilities, great student life. Only issue is the educational materials used in the lectures. It’s too generic, it doesn’t seem to connect well with the students and the current state we are in, if Instructors can get a bit more creative with their teaching, it would take away that generic feel from the lectures, but besides this NYU is really a great Institution to apply to, the staffs are friendly everyone there is eager to help you with any issues you might have, seeing that alone is just fantastic.
View moreAlthough the people at NYU made my stay there amazing, I think they might do a better job of giving students sage financial guidance. Simply said, every year I ask more and more questions regarding my school. I appreciate how diverse and inclusive my school is all around. In general, people are amazing and highly brilliant. My excellent lecturers and peers inspire me to work harder. The opportunities and tools are unmatched. Although I enjoy going to a big metropolitan school, not everyone will. The only things I want are that it was more expensive and farther away from my parents.
View moreThe neighborhood near New York University was fantastic. Attending this university gave me the opportunity to experience what it was like to live in a city. I loved learning new things here, meeting new people, and exploring new locations. As a college, NYU has so far been a fantastic pick. Despite the high cost of attendance, once you find your community, get involved on campus, and maintain your academic life, it is simple to thrive here.
View moreI don’t want to rate the whole NYU but for Tandon, the professor here is case by case. You are likely to take a course with a professor with a 1/5 rating. The canteen’s food is really bad but most other nyu’s canteen is good. Students don’t communicate that much here. But they offer some good opportunities.
View moreI am an engineering student and knowing that people would assume that I would be someone without social life and no time for any university clubs and such.
That is completely false.
This is NYC. A city that lives and breathes no matter what the time is, and NYU emulates the same behaviour. I can’t stress enough how much fun it is to go here, and the same time being rewarding.
There are people who find themselves isolated or lonely in the first semester or even year. That happens. And it’s ok because you will find the people you will vibe with. Yes, there is no campus to just roam around, but NYU offers you the city. You will find your crowd, believe that.
Academically wise NYU is not the most challenging, and since I am doing engineering, I am more than okay with that. This allows me to have time for myself and my own interests.
Overall, I loved my experience so far.
