Getting into the nursing program at the College of Staten Island is quite easy. You must first complete the required courses. You must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in prerequisite courses with a minimum grade of C in Human Anatomy and Physiology 1. You must be a student (residency) at the College of Staten Island for at least one semester. Upon completion of these courses, you must take the NLN Licensing RN exam and submit your results and required documents by the deadline. My only concern is that this is a competitive program and admission is not guaranteed. Space is also limited for enrollment in courses. You have to make sure you are on time when the time comes. There are quite a few places on campus where you can eat. For example, there’s McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, Burger King, etc. The college itself has a campus center where lunch can be purchased. It’s a bit expensive, so I recommend eating off campus or just bringing your own lunch. On campus, there are many different religions, especially in your dorm you will see many people of different races and cultures. The campus clubs are based on religions and many people respect each other’s religion, whatever it may be. People personally believe that’s their belief and no one should tell them otherwise.
