As of August 2025, I’ve completed my first semester at FIU. To be quite honest, I’ve had very little to no bad experiences. Now, everything can’t be perfect.
The people are incredibly generous, which include the students and staff. One con, is the fact that FIU is primarily a commuter school, so most of the people you’ll meet don’t live on campus, but probably 30 minutes away.
Living on campus is beautiful as you wake up to an amazing scenery. The food is amazing, with plenty of options. We are ranked #1 in college food, so that should tell you something.
I made the right decision to attend FIU. I am projected to graduate in 2029, majoring in Biological Sciences, pre med.
In general, my time at FIU has been incredible. The campus culture they foster is unparalleled, instilling a sense of school spirit in every student that leaves you feeling proud to be a panther. The academic system is well-structured and adequately equips students for future courses. Additionally, the campus itself is aesthetically pleasing and provides a welcoming atmosphere. I have been fortunate to have highly supportive professors who have generously shared their wealth of knowledge.
