Good overall, great campus, most professors are down to earth and will work with students, although higher level classes with older professors are more strict and harder to learn from. Variety of classes is enriching and an enjoyable experience

View moreWhat an amazing school I have the pleasure of attending! If you’re currently a high school student researching where you should spend the next 4 years of your life, don’t worry, I sat in your seat for months, looking though the hundreds of supposedly “top” universities all over the US. Do I want to go to a small school, where my class sizes will be smaller and I might actually get a chance to work with my professor, and not just a TA? Or maybe a big school would be better for me, I can definitely make more money if I graduate from there, right? Many of these types of questions had me stuck in an endless loop for months, exploring the benefits and drawbacks to each category of school. In the end, I decided to attend the University of Indiana, and let me tell you, I couldn’t have chosen better. Despite the beforementioned fact that there are just shy of 37,000 undergraduate students, I feel as if I am attending a school half that size. Although some of my general education classes are a little bit bigger in size, I always feel as if I am working alongside all the students in my classes, and the professors are always willing and able to help students with questions outside and during class. To me, when I look at the list of benefits I made for big and small schools, it seems as though I have found the perfect medium here. I know all of my professors and have good relationships with all of them, while also having a beautiful campus I get to walk around every day with thousands of other students who match my interests, and are all welcoming of new friends into the community.
View moreIndiana University is a high caliber and well respected institution, and for good reason. I had the unique opportunity of attending this school from 2019-2022, which happened to be during the height of the global pandemic we all know as COVID-19. To go along with the robust campus life, vast diversity, and abundant opportunities, Indiana University tackled the challenge of delivering a quality education almost fully online with little to no time to prepare. The transition was not seamless, but the quality of the education I received did not waver. The professors come from a variety of backgrounds offering different perspectives, ideas, and connections. The faculty and coursework adequately prepared me for becoming successful in my desired concentration of work. For these reasons, I highly recommend this university as they work with you every step of the way through your education journey.
