I completed my undergraduate degree at Indiana University with majors in English and History and a minor in French. I also explored what other departments had to offer with my extra credits, taking classes in both the Music and Theatre departments. Every faculty member was truly top notch, especially in the English department. I received a truly thorough education, covering the bases of genre, literary history, and theory. I ented my Masters’ program at Columbia University much more prepared than the other students in my cohort due to my educational background at IU. It was also a lovely and wonderful community. Bloomington is a great city to live in, with all kinds of fun things to do and friendly people to meet. The school is huge, so you will meet all kinds of people from all over the world. Also, due to IU being a public institution, the tuition is not super expensive if you are an Indiana resident, which I am—and they offer great scholarships which I took advantage of. I could not have had a better experience.
