Faculty of Library Science Online Program. Apart from the four (compulsory) days on campus for orientation, the entire program can be followed remotely. Completing the degree requirements typically takes anywhere from eighteen months – for students who take three courses per semester – to three years – for students who take summer vacation and take only the required two courses per semester.
There are a number of specialist electives that run over the summer – they run over three condensed “semesters”, I would recommend taking just one per semester. I took two in summer II and although I survived I could not maintain the level of work I normally maintain and often put off homework at the last minute because homework was required for the other class. On the other hand, these summer classes tend to be smaller: around 20-25 students, compared to 35-40 in regular semesters.
