Pros: Very friendly, surprisingly open culture, clearly structured for lifelong bonding. really good services to not only help you pursue the career you want, but also figure out the career you want. the teachers are very friendly and helpful and Boston/Cambridge is a fun city with lots of great food, places to go out, other academic centers (MIT, BU, Berklee, etc.) and cultural activities. Cons: The workload can be a bit overwhelming at first, especially since there’s no secrecy. the financial aid seems a little less generous than that of Stanford. HBS is very much married to the case method, which is a great pedagogical tool, but not necessarily the best for every skill. the school has since incorporated FIELD courses which involve more practice, but these practical areas such as communication, inspiring leadership, presence, feedback, self-awareness, etc. are still surely the second stage of the foundational lessons taught in the case method”
