I think EIU is a decent place. It’s definitely smaller than a lot of campus’ if that’s what you’re looking for. You could probably walk from the northern most point(old main) to the southern most point(CCH or U-Court) in about 10-15 minutes, at an average pace. As for the professors, in my opinion, they are either really lenient and care about you or don’t care at all and are very strict. You really have to advocate for yourself and get any and all help you need to succeed, on your own. This said most, if not all, professors will not reach out and see if you need help. You will have to do it on your own.
