I enjoy that the school often looks at the bigger picture throughout its courses, and the career center is very helpful to help students enter the job market. One negative is that the tuition costs are a bit high.

DePaul offers a very supportive and diverse academic environment. Professors are approachable, willing to mentor, and bring strong professional experience into the classroom, which makes learning more practical and applicable. The university also has strong ties to the Chicago business community, providing excellent networking opportunities and access to internships or career events. The campus location in the heart of Chicago is another plus—close to many companies, cultural activities, and resources.
Dislikes:
At times, the administrative processes (such as financial aid, scheduling, or registration) can feel a bit slow or complicated. Some courses are outstanding, but others feel more theory-driven without as much hands-on application. The cost of tuition is also relatively high, especially considering living expenses in Chicago.
Recommendations:
I’d recommend that incoming students take full advantage of career services and alumni networking early on, since they’re valuable resources for job placement. Getting involved with student organizations and events helps build a stronger professional network. Also, researching professors before enrolling in classes can help ensure you get the best fit for your academic and career goals.
Overall, DePaul provides a solid graduate experience with many opportunities if you take initiative.
