I cherished the chances I had to do research as an undergraduate. The professors I’ve worked with have been gracious, knowledgeable, and understanding. For me, it has been the finest experience and has led to many new opportunities. But not all of my interactions with the faculty were positive, and I believe that better communication between professors and students would be helpful. Since I attended a college with both environmental science and pre-med students, I believe it would also be advantageous to have additional guidance for your particular degree program. When I am actually more interested in forestry and botany, my adviser frequently talks about employment in hospitals.
