Being a Computer Science major here is alright, although I feel vastly outnumbered by all the people going for the same degree as well. Computer science professors are nice and intelligent, but almost all of them have English as a second language and will have trouble communicating with you. Classes are also hurt by their accents and occasional lack of fluency in the language.
On the student side of things, the Computer science students are mostly computer geeks who already knew a lot and had experience with multiple languages before they even started their first year here. Many of them just talk about their programming accomplishments, example designing websites and writing their own languages, so if you’re planning on being a Computer science major, know that you might be uncomfortable with these guys if you’re starting your first year with a relative lack of experience. You won’t starve if you’re not picky. The main entrees at the dining halls are pretty good sometimes, but when they try to get complicated it gets ugly. My favorite dish they’ve served was barbeque chicken with mashed potatoes. When they try doing more cultural things, it’s usually pretty bad.
