Strong engineering school

Case is a good school for engineering. They have a wide variety of engineering types to choose from, so if you come with one engineering type in mind and change plans in the middle of the way it’s very easy to find and switch to what you like. Case also has many opportunities for research, the professors are easy to reach out to if you show a genuine interest in their lab, and there is so many resources to help you excel academically if you use them efficiently.
Perhaps one bad side of Case is it’s social scene. There is a couple of good clubs and student organizations, but student really don’t engage with them, and most of their activities have no attendees because everyone is busy studying. So this can feel like a discouragement for someone who genuinely want to make an impact through student organizations. Part of that also comes from the huge workload I feel like students at Case have, which can be in part due to the rigorous nature of the engineering programs, and not particularly about Case as a school.
