As a Public Health student at Brigham Young University Idaho, I’ve had a rewarding experience that has prepared me for a career in promoting health and wellness. The university’s Public Health program has provided me with a solid foundation in the principles of health education, epidemiology, and health policy.
I’ve been impressed by the expertise and dedication of the faculty in the Public Health department. They’ve challenged me to think critically and creatively about complex health issues and have provided me with opportunities to apply theoretical concepts to real-world problems.
One of the strengths of BYU-Idaho’s Public Health program is its emphasis on community-based learning. Through internships, service projects, and research collaborations, I’ve had the opportunity to work with local health organizations and community groups to address pressing health issues.
The university’s values-based approach to education has also been a highlight of my experience. The focus on ethics, social justice, and compassion has helped me develop a deeper understanding of the social determinants of health and the importance of addressing health disparities.
Overall, I’m grateful for the exceptional education and opportunities I’ve had as a Public Health student at BYU-Idaho. I feel well-prepared for a career in public health and would highly recommend this program to anyone passionate about promoting health and wellness.
