Although APU was not my top option, I’m glad I went anyhow. During my college, I was able to grow in my religion and meet a lot of godly individuals in a very encouraging environment. I also met the woman I will one day wed, my girlfriend. Despite some strictness, I had highly perceptive teachers who designed my classes around fascinating and captivating subjects such 1968, Communism, French Algeria, Modern Africa, and the US from Reconstruction to the present. Even though the campus and living quarters aren’t the best, the area’s rich history and godly community make up for these flaws.
