Appalachian is for you if you want a small-town atmosphere with loads of outdoor adventures. We have students from all over the world studying for their undergraduate and graduate degrees at our university since it has a fantastic international program. If you wish to travel to the state’s urban areas, you can do so in two hours from Charlotte and three hours from Raleigh.
