Bangor university is a marvel to behold. The ffriddoedd village halls create an amazing sense of community and keep you close your new friends and classmates. The views of mountains and beaches are truly inspiring to look at and help to brighten your day’s. The university has a wide array of supportive systems in place to help it’s students struggling with disability and mental health. The lecturers are responsive and eager to help. The night life is limited but still lively and pushes for student to have fun outside of clubbing. The university also offers clubs and societies for everyone to join and find new experiences. Throughout the week several on campus activities are held which helps both with socialising and providing more fun in a more unique way. Bangor University is a welcoming and diverse campus where people from all walks of life can feel at home.
View moreI have had a generally positive experience with Bangor University. Particularly given the setting, campus life has a pretty good culture. The residences are lovely. There is an abundance of food. The instructors and professors are excellent. In addition to providing resources for all of its students, Bangor University is a school that won’t let you fail.
View moreOverall, my experience at Bangor university, has been very positive, the support I have received has been unmatched and am loving every minute of my time. Having the opportunity to go uni was something that I never thought was in my wheelhouse, but going to Bangor has been an experience I’ll never forget
View moreIt’s a great uni, but a lot online for 1st and 2nd year so far compared to other courses! Fun, lots of clubs, very outdoors focused, nightlife ok for a small city. Great practical labs etc. Everything is very easy to walk to.
View moreThe University had a large student union with all clubs and groups free to join.
The course was well taught by interesting and engaging professors and there was a good selection of modules covering all aspects of Medical Biology.
With free clubs and societies, Bangor University really ups the student experience game as well as opens up a wide range of opportunities for everyone, making sure that no one is disadvantaged. I admire the fact that the University really cares about its students and it really shows, such as through schemes like free wellbeing sessions which are held regularly as well as a thriving campus life with an excellent pastoral support team. In this day and age when knowledge is accessible through the click of a button, Universities are no longer just about earning a degree and academics, it is about experiences and fostering responsible citizens of the future which is why mental health is given such importance in Bangor University.
