The University of Leicester has been an exciting and honestly life-changing experience for me so far. I have had a really good first year, made good friends and enjoyed my courses. I am studying law, and though I do live on campus this last year most of the courses have been online too, except for smaller sessions with professors. Student life on campus is very active and can be quite enjoyable. There is also a significant number of international students from Poland, Italy, other surrounding European countries and West African countries too. Also, I can comment that another really good thing about Leicester is the pace of lectures and courses, I feel like in all my classes so far, the going pace of learning can be appreciated by all students, in that it does not feel rushed or like the professors are trying to squeeze in an entire syllabus in a couple of weeks. Also, there are so many different societies (clubs) available to join as a first-year, which can enhance your whole Leicester experience. The film society, that I’m a part of, provides an opportunity to meet people with shared interests and develop friendships from there.
