From the beginning of my time at UCL the administration has been poor – slow replies to emails and information was not clear e.g. not clear how to register modules and what the specific module title was, making it impossible for me to register it. Despite this, when I began my degree I found the class sizes to be good (small) and the modules, interesting. The lecturers seem interested in their fields of research, however, sometimes they haven’t found a balance between being both an academic and a teacher with unhelpful seminar structures and feedback. The UCL campus is nice and all classes have been easy to get to, however, some of the rooms have not been appropriate – too small for the number of people. I do find it slightly ridiculous that I’m paying £3,000 (with others paying a lot more) just to sit exams in third term with no additional teaching. There are a wide number of societies which is good.
