There are diverse indoor and outdoor spaces for relaxation, study, and socialisation. The university also offers a great support systems for revision, mental well-being, and career advice, along with a multitude of extracurricular activities like societies that foster inclusivity. However, in my opinion improvements for commuting students should be put in place. I believe that providing lockers would enhance their experience. Despite this, my overall experience has been excellent, finding relaxation and a sense of belonging in the welcoming and diverse community. I highly recommend this university.
View moreI like the campus as it’s very green and a lot of space to relays study, get a coffee.
My course itself, psychology, is interesting and there are a variety of ways you get tested on which is good. However, the 2 hour lectures are too long and so you don’t stay focused 90% of the time. Also, we don’t get a reading week when most students do which is very much needed at this time of the year.
Psychology department in Southampton does great research. The university is diverse in terms of where people come from. There are good student facilities and the university is quite close to the main city centre. Lots of nature as well around the campus. There are also good events organised by the university. Accommodation is also relatively new! Really nice and helpful professors. Thanks, Southampton!
