My time at the University of Reading was an incredibly positive and rewarding experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed into a supportive and inclusive community where both academic and personal development were encouraged.
The lecturers were knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping students succeed. The courses were engaging and provided a strong balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application, helping me develop valuable skills that I continue to use today.
One of the highlights of studying at Reading was the beautiful campus. The green spaces, modern facilities, and excellent study environments created a fantastic atmosphere for learning. There were also countless opportunities to get involved in student life through societies, events, and volunteering, which helped me build lasting friendships and broaden my experiences beyond the classroom.
The university’s focus on student wellbeing and career development was particularly impressive. Whether through academic support, careers guidance, or wellbeing services, there was always help available when needed.
Overall, the University of Reading provided me with an excellent education, memorable experiences, and lifelong connections. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a university that combines academic excellence with a strong sense of community and student support.
View moreUoR has been generally great. Campus is definitely a highlight; really pleasant to walk around, lots of coffee shops and the library is a lifesaver. Staff are usually really helpful and supportive particularly within the degree, and willing to make work and learning work for you – if you are forthcoming. Lecture content is generally interesting and assignments are well thought out; although can sometimes lack clarity.
Student life is of course is what you make it, however their definitely activities to suit most people, like the sport societies, union and mojos. There definitely isn’t the MOST active campus/student life, but for most people this is fine and if you go in knowing this it likely won’t be an issue.
Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at UoR so far, and I am looking forward to the next year!
View moreThe University of Reading is OK. The hype of the teaching method is exceptional but the reality is a bit different. As an international, I regretted coming to reading but I have no option. I would really suggest that staff should be more approachable and not so rude.
View moreI loved studying psychology since it gives me a chance to learn about human brain and it’s amazing function. learning psychology is very important and an additional skill that can be used in hard times such as wars and when people suffer from mental illnesses.
View moreGreat location and campus. Lots of greenery and student support and other services. My particular department was great because there were lots of academics but I did tend to feel lost in the crowd and strikes were poorly dealt with.
View moreI really like how the campus is organised. We have access to everything easily.
With my two firsts years spent in the University accommodation, I can tell that it is really nice. Modern, close to everything (sportspark, courses, library, bar…) and well organised. What a great experience!
I met lots of new friends! Being part of the international society, it was a great opportunity for me to meet people. I really enjoy spending my day on campus, with all the facilities available to us everything is close and easy (supermarket, library, gym, bar…)
