I feel that within my department, the teaching has always been of high quality, communication with professors and university staff is easy, I can always reach out for help with queries and student welfare support is easily accesible and helpful
View moreAs a mature student at this university, I thought that maybe I would struggle to make friends and would find the modules difficult, however I have received nothing but the best support and guidance from my professors. The lectures are engaging and thought-provoking and they really help you to try to fulfil your potential, often seeing things in you that you haven’t discovered yet!
Making friends hasn’t been a problem either as there are so many activities and societies for students to join in with, as well as help and guidance with all sorts of issues from exam pressures, mental health, through to how to find a job and money matters. There are also different social media groups relating to the university, including a mature student one!
Reading itself is a fantastic place to be as there is so much to do and so much going on, and as it is so close to London itself, it’s easy to get there to see a show or a museum, as well as easily accessible to the main London airports.
I absolutely love being at the University of Reading and cannot recommend it highly enough!
