This course is very unique. Not only is it one of about 4 in the whole of the UK, but it teaches such a variety of things. I love the content of the course, ranging from habitats across the world to physiology of a variety of animals.
The location is also brilliant, as it is right in the centre of a student city so there is always something to keep you busy and plenty of opportunities to try something new.
However, the only aspect of this university I struggle with is that the lecturers can be quite frustrating. It may be a universal thing but their slow replies and vague feedback can drive you crazy. You have to be quite firm to get the answer that you need.
Overall, I do like this university and I love the course.
Plymouth University, so far, has been an amazing place to stay. It’s a student city; everyone is super friendly. It’s hard being away from home, but the environment in Plymouth starts to feel like a home away from home. My foundation year is fantastic, a comfortable transformation from A level to university. You have guidance all the way. My course is particularly special; the foundation year is joined with the medicine Foundation, dental therapy foundation, and radiography foundation, including the biomedical science foundation. You start to appreciate interprofessional learning and that every department all play a crucial role together. I would 100% recommend Plymouth University to a student; it’s such a lovely place.
