The staff at Newman University really helped me succeed and wouldn’t had been able to do most of the opportunities like Welcome Mentor, Equality and Campaign officer and Foundation Mentor without their support.

As a current psychology student looking searching for placement while having a job, many students with this same situation find it hard to juggle all priorities or even try and fit new ones. However the careers and employment staff at newman have been very understanding and helpful with my search for placement. With prompt replies they provide links and advice to help you find placement that suits you and your circumstances.

I blindly chose Newman University as my circumstance’s changed and decided to stay in England for university. Despite not knowing much about the uni I feel like I could not have landed at a better place. Which brings me a lot of relief. The concept of community is very strong in Newman and feels like a small family. The friendly environment alongside staff and students makes the place enjoyable.

If your someone like me who was nervous to start university as you’ve never been in an environment like that before, Newman university is a great place to go. They really focus and pin point student support and go above and beyond to help you settle in. During my first few weeks I was struggling with my student finance, I spoke to my tutor and was advised to speak to the student finance support worker for help and within 2 days I received my payment. Also during lectures the lectures really go into detail and help you understand every bit of information so you don’t fall behind or feel you can’t do it anymore. Overall if you want to go to a university that will help and support you during your time there I highly recommend Newman University.
