This is my second year at Northumbria University as I done a foundation year last year and I have to say it has been an alright experience. Studying last year was very good and as started getting back into normal life ask lockdown finished it felt really good. The university really tries to get you settled in by having open days, balls and also my favourite, the student bar.

As well as this, some tutors are generally very supportive and feedback provided within these tutorials is usually very useful for project completion. Newcastle itself is a very international and friendly student city, meaning that it is easy to find your tribe and meet new people. I will say however that with it being a student city, people move very often so oftentimes unless these friendships and bonds that you form are very strong, you could potentially lose touch with these friends. As well as this, with a course as subjective as architecture, sometimes the feedback received might not necessarily tally with the work produced and you are unable to challenge this.
