I would recommend the University of Kingston to any aspiring Student Midwives. The Faculty of Midwifery at the University of Kingston is a dedicated team of lecturers who are passionate about women centred care.
I have personally found all lecturers to be kind hearted and approachable, even from the interview stage. I would highly recommend the University to any aspiring Midwife, regardless of their age, or background.
View moreReally wouldn’t recommend it. Learning about other fields of nursing more than children’s such as disability and mental health etc. given no support when writing essays. They expect you to know how it should be structured and what the layout should be and how to write it. Also, they long out the course so much. Learning about climate change and doing drawing classes…. Not what I signed and agreed to pay. The classes are one day a week and I feel like I’m not fulfilling my uni experience. Don’t understand why they can put it to 3 days a week which will cut down my course time and give me more of a chance for placement. Just don’t feel like I’m getting 9 grand or even half back in my learning and support. They are harsh on marking ur work but don’t actually give advice or teach you how to be better. They just expect you to know.
View moreI enjoyed studying here, it’s a brilliant nursing school. However the nursing campus is pretty far from the other buildings so we missed out on a lot of the student union events. This made it harder to meet people outside of our course.
