Imperial is a world renowned research institution boasting challenging courses where you will learn practical skills and deepen your knowledge. Perfect for students looking for a challenge.
However, I find that your experience at Imperial is entirely course dependent. I am in a department that is has great communication between professors, and between the staff and students, but other courses have notoriously bad communication, which provides an impersonal and dissatisfactory student experience, to the point that some of the courses are under review for poor student satisfaction.
Overall, Imperial is what you make of it. It is a great place, with abounding opportunity, but only for the student that will take the initiative and make the most of the experience.

A good school with amazing job prospects. Also, it is an excellent place to learn with world-class teaching staff. The experience here is top-notch. The environment is serene to promote the teaching and learning process. A lot of experience can be gained here. Great infrastructures in this institution also, you have value for your money. The learning and teaching process is a big deal. Classes here are very effective, we are trained by professionals who are always willing to give their best. A friendly environment, a place to be.

Did Ph.D. in materials during 2008-2011. Came here on exchange from UKIERI. Developed an experiment that was funded by Rolls Royce. Overall the program was good and the lecturers were well versed in imparting their knowledge.

The staff and students are driven and extremely clever, making it a fast-paced learning environment. The professors are amazing but the only aspect lacking is student well-being, which has started this year. It’s an extremely hard course but worth it, as the job prospects and connections are very good.

No matter what course you study at Imperial, the university will provide you with opportunities to develop outside your majors and help you equip the skills required to move towards the career of your choice, as well as give you an edge in the competitive job market.

It’s a great university for students who are passionate about their subjects and there are always so many amazing opportunities present. It can get quite intense academically. But honestly, I think if you prioritize and think about what you really want to achieve at university, then Imperial can be really fun.

You can gain a lot to prepare for your career path if you like exploring more. Teaching facilities are advanced and quite a lot of advanced lab equipment. Approachable lecturers and personal tutors. Overall it’s good.

An amazing place for learning science while still pursuing extracurricular activities. I find myself at home in London as there is so much to do and it has something for everyone. The teaching staff are so experienced and respectable.

I appreciate the strong bond between course mates. Both academically and socially, I received lots of support and help from them. Not only the students but the communication with the staff is very easy and approachable.
One thing for improvements, I suggest Imperial College to act faster to decisions of the UK government or the Head departments. For instance, with the COVID situation, compared to any other universities in London, Imperial noticed the students very late respectively, which gave very little time for the students to make critical decisions.

Really good uni, helpful and passionate lecturers and good facilities. Challenge course content that stretches and tests you to develop your skills.
Set in beautiful buildings, good location in London so fun but expensive social life.
