My experience at Lancaster University was incredibly enriching, both academically and personally. Studying International Relations and Politics (BA) at a world-renowned university helped sharpen my critical thinking, research, and communication skills. The international character of the university helped me gain exposure to various viewpoints and aided me in further developing my understanding of global challenges in its entirety.
I went on to do a Master’s in Law with a specialization in Human Rights and the Environment after completing my undergraduate studies. This degree has been one of the most rewarding as well as challenging in terms of pursuing my passions for research and analysis, together with social justice and sustainability which has given me the opportunity to diversify my skill set considerably.
Lancaster University was not just about education though, the student life was equally amazing as it added so much more value to my journey. I took part in numerous societies and student-led programs, which really empowered me to meet new people, hone my leadership abilities, and participate in decision-making at a much deeper level. It was the incredible community that helped me evolve outside the strong academic focus the university had.
Now, as a proud Lancaster alumni, I can confidently say that my time at the university shaped both my academic path and professional ambitions. The skills, knowledge, and global perspective I gained continue to be invaluable in my career and personal development.
View moreThe university itself is good, however, you can’t get much help from your professors. You have to do everything on your own. Contacted professors for help on essays or exams, but they didn’t really reply or help at all.
View moreDue to Covid-19, my University has responded very well to the change of circumstances and has given students the opportunities to opt-in for any cancelled exams. This is something that I highly appreciate as it has given me the chance to improve my grades.
I have had problems with the University’s organisation in the past but these current events have shown me what a great University it is. I still have some complaints but they are quite minor.
The univeristy is great the teachers are great there is a lot of support for students academically. However, sometimes as an international student it feels like it is harder to make friends and interact. People form groups in year 1 and if you are shy it will be hard for you to find friends. I have not experienced any racism at the university but one of my friends has.
