The University of Strathclyde has its strengths, especially when it comes to the dedication and quality of its teaching staff. The lecturers are truly amazing—knowledgeable, approachable, and passionate about their subjects, which makes the learning experience engaging. Additionally, the well-being and disability services are fantastic, offering helpful and much-needed support to students.
However, as a law student, I’ve found the resources and information provided to be lacking. While self-study is a big part of any law degree, the limited guidance and access to resources feel unreasonable for such a demanding subject. Strathclyde as an institution also struggles with effectively communicating important information to students, which can be incredibly frustrating.
That said, it’s not all bad—the university has its positives, but there are definitely areas for improvement, especially in providing law students with the resources and support they need to succeed.
View moreUpon embarking to study on an LLB Law course at the University of Strathclyde, I was met with a great deal of help and support from the university staff. The friendliness and approachability of the staff, including professors, administrators and tutors was exemplary and contributed greatly to the enjoyability of the course. On top of this, the rigorous education I received while on the course developed in me a fully rounded and detailed understanding of the legal system that I believe will accompany me for my entire life. Overall, I would highly recommend this university for all prospective students.

View moreAlthough Strathclyde University has a boisterous and luminous atmosphere, it is very crowded. It was very easy (especially during Covid 19), to get past 2 whole years of University without making any real friends. I feel that the university should have more programmes in place for first year students to do familiarise themselves with each other.
View moreThe university is highly equipped with advanced technological devices in surplus amount, enough for each student to use at a time. The devices are also well managed and barely have any technical faults and makes working better.
View moreI really like the lecturers and many teach in good informative ways which engage you. It can get very stressful and I would say sometimes the University lack the support which some need. Tutorials are extremely useful and they help me understand the modules better.
