University of Glasgow is an academic centre of excellence. The faculty ensure it is a fantastic place to study, with professors and course conveners using a variety of techniques to encourage engagement and discourse among students in lectures and seminars using a mix of modern technology and more traditional styles of teaching.
The university staff are incredibly helpful and everyone there wants to ensure each and every student succeeds.

What i like about my university is that University of Glasgow is very open to international students. Especially in my program is very diverse and it got me super excited because i got to know people from around the world

The Lecture is obviously qualified within its field and could provide a lecture that is easy to understand. The environment that UofG has complements your will to study as they provide everything you need to broaden your knowledge. One of the best Universities in the World.

Studying International Relations at the University of Glasgow has equipped me with a unique outlook on the world, although I am currently sitting my exams to mark the end of my first year it has been an experience that has encouraged me to think independently and view concepts through a critical manner which will not only aid you throughout your time at University but will enable you to excel following graduation.

Throughout the program you are exposed to a broad range of theories and an interesting selection of cases and crises to analyze and formulate opinions and solutions on, this is often facilitated with group discussions allowing you to express your line of argument in a free and inclusive environment. Additionally, lectures are both pre-recorded and delivered live allowing you to access and watch the content at your desired comfort.

Professors are of a high-quality standard and offer exceptional guidance on how to further engrave yourself in your studies. Often recommending books, articles or podcasts to assist in nourishing ideas within you. They are all willing to provide support when needed and from what I have witnessed go out of their way to build rapport with students.

Outside of the engaging but overwhelming academia, there is a wide range of politically associated activities to engage in as a student, whether that be through an ideological society or partaking in the debates hosted. What stood out for me, in particular, was the external lecture series in which speakers were invited to share their thoughts on contemporary issues on a weekly basis. This in essence allows you to bridge together the theoretical proponents of International Relations with the current system.

All in all, I have thoroughly enjoyed my journey at the University of Glasgow thus far and the abundance of opportunities available to you as a Political Science Student and I look forward to the travels ahead.

I enjoyed my programme as there was a very wide range of classes in lots of different areas of interest, so there is definitely something for everyone who is interested in the course. The professors provided a lot of help with everything and the course is very well set out and easy to follow.

In general, I would have preferred my experience to have been blended or on-campus however due to lockdowns this wasn’t possible. It lessened the fun of the experience as it was hard to feel like you were part of a class or a team as there weren’t opportunities to socialise before graduation.

As for my current career prospects, the job market is extremely competitive and is hard to get into at the moment. My course does help with the things I am interested in pursuing however there is not a lot of current options in my field of interest.

Studied at Glasgow Uni 2005-2009 and was a great experience. Loved the politics department and the great social scene. Both unions offered something different and always plenty going on including daft Friday.

The University of Glasgow is one of the best universities for medicine, veterinarian studies, and law in the whole of U.K. It’s campus features gothic and gorgeous architecture while always giving you a warm feel. The library is 11 levels high, that speaks for itself. And finally, UofG has one of the widest selection of courses ever, especially graduate and post graduate programmes
