I’ve had a very positive experience studying Politics and International Relations at Exeter. The course offers a good range of modules, and I’ve especially enjoyed Foreign Policy Analysis, Explaining Public Policies, Politics of the World Economy and Data Analysis. These have helped me understand real-world political issues while also developing practical analytical skills, particularly through learning R.
Campus life is also a major strength. Streatham is attractive, social and easy to navigate, and societies such as Golf Society make it easy to meet people outside your course. The workload can be demanding, especially around essays and readings, but it has improved my organisation and time management. Overall, I would recommend Exeter to students looking for strong academics, a lively campus and a good balance between study and social life.
