This university provided various insights and opportunities to expand my knowledge and experience relating to business and marketing. For example, individual and group projects demonstrated in the forms of competitor analysis reviews and presentations, encouraged personal growth and team working abilities. However, the highlight of this university experince was the societies and final year dissertations, as the networking opportunities amongst students and academic supervisors within the dissertation project allowed for a great insight into collaboration and individual projects that a student can be proud of.

If given the option again, I’d without a doubt pick the same university!
Students are given a tonne of chances and resources to make the most of their time.
There are three campuses in total, but the one I’m on has everything you could possibly need.
I’m excited to investigate the other 2!

With regards to being a post-graduate student at Heriot-Watt University, I have overall enjoyed my studies there. I appreciate how the staff at the University are welcoming and involved, in the sense that they are approachable by email and in person with regards to asking an academic question. However, I do wish that they engaged more in online learning as they do not record their lectures, a tool in which I find very helpful with regards to revision. However, overall it has been a good experience

The university satellite campus in Dubai is a great way to start your university life. It’s a friendly country, my experience so far has been good. Even the education is similar to the UK (for my course). Best part on e you get enrolled in the Dubai campus, then transfer to the main campus becomes easy and would give you an experience of Scotland too.

I’m currently doing International business management in marketing. So far I have finished around 28 courses but only about 8 of them were marketing-related courses, this allowed me to learn about all the majors available to me in IBM however it took away from me the opportunity to learn more about marketing.
The student life is generally good but isn’t as diverse as I had hoped it would be. It’s important to know that starting university is hard for any student and no matter what your grades are or which university you choose, it will be a very challenging experience and a highly demanding job.
overall my own university experience taught me a lot in the academic aspect and social aspect.

Heriot, to be honest, would be a good value for money. However, the facilities are terrible. For studies it’s good. Our uni supports various sports and for someone who is into sports would surely love this place. Overall it’s a good place to be at.
