Globalisation strengthens the connection between companies from all over the world. It is time people understand the importance of international business.
International business degrees are shaped to give students practical knowledge about different business management practices from all over the world. In addition, candidates are prepared for business careers abroad or in organisations that are engaged in business on a global scale.
Moreover, international business is vital in order to understand different cultures and mindsets and ultimately become a global citizen.
A degree in International Business prepares you for a job in a culturally diverse business environment, which means that any graduate can benefit from opportunities in any country.
The advantage of an International Business course is that you are highly employable for most industries since the majority of skills acquired are transferable.
Candidates studying international business will also gain information and insight about the difficulties of starting and growing businesses from different countries, something which is of utmost importance for anyone who wants to make their business thrive.
International Business is usually a three-year commitment, depending on each university. Lately, there are institutions which offer the possibility of having a ‘sandwich course’, which basically enables the candidates to work abroad for one year in the industry, as part of their studies.
The purpose of the ‘sandwich course’ is to encourage students to step outside their comfort zone and work in a different culture and environment. In this way, they will understand other mentalities, as well as gain relevant working experience in the field.
Enjoyed My MBA program at the university, Faculty was the best and was also easy to approach. One of the Faculties was one of the reason i looked into studying for DBA program.
would the university for anyone looking to study both Undergraduate and Post-Graduate courses.
The structure allows you to work with staff to explore your own interests within your programme. Everyone is there to help you through your time at university. As I was a lockdown student, sometimes I felt isolated during lectures but our tutorials brought everyone together again.
View moreHeriot Watt has provided great extracurricular activitres while at univeristy, making it easy to make friends and conncentions. The student union offered a range of options, and the sports union were great at getting all sports involved and hosting events. However in my actual course I found due to how big the course was that I struggled to get to know lecturers or suports in the business school. I think if it wasnt for sport I would’ve struggled at heriot watt.
View morefun and nice environment to be in. goofd university life and fun to be around . also nice people nice professors and the atmosphere is very interesting, way too much drama is present though so that’s there
View moreThe classes are all related to ur major, and they aren’t overwhelming. I have a maximum of 4 classes per semester which is amazing. The facilities could use some work though, they are pretty outdated. Hopefully the new campus will solve that issue.
View moreI like the facilities that are available though there is always room for improvements in the way things are organised such as events. All in all, it becomes homely with the right people and with knowing the staff personally.
View moreThis university is good. It has good staff members and students. The best thing about this university is the amount of clubs it has for students to find their interests. However, for the last few months, the university has not taken enough measures to satisfy the well being of its students. The students need support during difficult times. Heriot watt won’t take any actions until a petition is signed by many students. Even the actions they take is to only satisfy the university’s needs not the students.
View moreThe university is really nice, the professors are really helpful and have great knowledge about their fields, Overall its is a nice university and I would definitely recommend it, and getting a British education here in Dubai is a benefit also shifting to Edinburgh campus is another benefit.
View moreAn exhilarating ongoing experience at the Heriot-Watt University in Dubai. There is a lot of free time from academics but they have loads of other events and clubs. Which means that it is totally pressure-free and depends on how you treat your university life. If you want to take advantage of it and gain something out of it, it is totally up to you. The faculty is quite experienced as well as plenty of facilities are available at the campus academically and in terms of sports. A wide range of diversity is present that helps students to get to know different backgrounds. Moreover, the academic programs are good and the intensity rises each year as well as opportunities to participate, lead and innovate at various platforms. I would recommend this university if you are motivated to learn and grow as an individual.
View moreReally like the social life in the university. Everything seems really relaxed and the pressures on the students don’t seem to be too extreme. The exams are also pretty easy and professors are also of a good standard.
