    My opinion on Warwick

The University of Warwick is an excellent university in a beautiful location. It is a respectable university with helpful staff, despite occasional events and information dissemination delays. a campus that is both contemporary and inviting. By using top-notch facilities and providing top-notch instruction, my university provides excellent study opportunities. I am better able to concentrate on lectures and fully comprehend what is being taught because the class sessions are short.

Wonderful campus and socials, huge range of choice

I studied a Joint Honours course in Mathematics and Physics. Warwick’s beautiful campus stood out to me with its sense of community and student-centric social life. Everything around the campus is targeted and catered towards student life, compared to some city-based universities which try to cater to everyone.

My course was quite challenging, being a joint honours option, but it also allowed me to explore one of Warwick’s biggest strengths: its flexibility in choosing modules and options. Within the Maths and Physics departments, once you’ve fulfilled your course regulations (usually about 90-120 credits of options, each module ranging from 6 credits, all the way to 15), you’re free to try out modules from across almost every department as part of your degree. I took advantage of this by selecting options in Computer Science and Statistics, giving me an edge in careers later.

Speaking of careers, Warwick is advertised often as a target university for graduate employers, and this holds up true. Compared to most of my friends, I felt that I had the widest range of support when it came to discussing careers and options for my future, with essentially unlimited bookings for careers meetings, dedicated job boards, and subject-specific careers fairs going on all the time every year.

My few complaints with the university lie with only some of the academics and some policies about the COVID-19 pandemic. My entire final year was done online and it was quite difficult for me, with support understandably lacking during this period. However, if I had to limit myself to just my first and second years, the university would get 5 stars.

    Loved my entire uni experience!

I loved the University of Warwick for many reasons, the first and foremost being that it gave me some of the best friends I’ve had the pleasure of making. But as a university, it’s welcoming and friendly and campus life is something that I think everyone should experience, especially at such an amazing campus. Warwick offers some of the best, state of the art facilities compared to other universities and the teaching is second to none. One thing I would like to see is a greater focus on student wellbeing.

Good balance of work and extracurricular activities

Warwick has amazing facilities and provides you with everything necessary. You get to meet people from so many different places and everyone’s so friendly, you feel right at home.
Warwick has some really good lecturers and the support system is great. Even outside of your degree, there’s so many different societies you can join.
Being an international student, I’d never been to an open day or offer holders day and so didn’t really know what to expect. But, honestly from the minute we drove into campus surroundings and got right to the main bit, it’s size, greenery and cleanliness really blew me away.
I would definitely recommend the University of Warwick.

    Challenging Degree with good support

I would recommend it to other students who want to do a challenging Maths degree with good career prospects in a supportive environment. But it must be said recent controversies (Chat Scandal, Extremely Poor Exam Timetable rollout etc.) around campus have somewhat dampened the image of Warwick.

I would say the best highlights of Warwick are it's standard of teaching, the support students get in most degree courses and the Students Union.

I like that the university is a small campus university and this enhancing that feeling of belonging at a uni. The staff and lecturers at Warwick are generally very good and are always around to help which is important and I feel like we get sufficient support from the university when it comes to careers and options after graduating. The accomodations are generally very good, particularly in terms of how they are maintained and the price we have to pay for it, it isn’t too expensive. There are lots of different clubs and societies and there is something there for everyone to try out. Personally I have done things at uni that I never thought I would do before and there is great scope for this to be possible for everyone. Warwick also offer a lot in terms of support for mental health though I believe they need to find more into this and find more direct avenues into helping people with any health issues.
