A business cannot survive if its products are not marketed in the proper way. Luckily for all the businesses out there, the number of candidates wanting to pursue a marketing career is growing tremendously.
The aim of this degree is to help students anticipate, manage, and satisfy customers’ needs and wants. By doing so, they will be able to effectively communicate the benefits of any business product to the targeted market.
Due to the fact that marketing is a complex industry, which tackles many areas ranging from market research to advertising and promotion, this degree focuses on all parts of the process before concentrating on a particular area of study.
Good news for marketing graduates! If you did not know yet, marketing is an essential aspect of all types of businesses, from all sectors of activity. Thus, all of them rely on marketers to promote and sell their products. A high market demand comes with many job opportunities available.
According to Labor Department Findings, graduates with a marketing degree can earn 98% more per hour than the ones working in the industry without having a specialised degree.
Furthermore, students are equipped with transferable skills, such as excellent communication abilities, strategic thinking, planning, data analysis and so on, that can be used in other industries too.
Marketing degrees can be studied either as Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc). The major difference lies in the presence of more scientific and technological aspects, which are commonly seen in a BSc rather than a BA.
Like most degrees, marketing courses last between three and four years, depending on the university. However, there are institutions which give students the possibility to do a two-year associate’s degree – also called a ‘foundation’ degree.
Even if graduating from both degrees qualifies candidates to work in this industry, a Bachelor degree has higher chances to lead you to well-paid jobs.
Studying Fashion Business Management at Coventry University was a rewarding experience. The course offered a strong mix of creative and analytical modules, allowing me to understand both the fashion industry’s creative side and its business foundations. The lecturers were supportive and brought real-world insights, while group projects and case studies gave us practical exposure. The facilities and resources were modern and helpful, especially for research and presentations. Overall, the programme helped me develop skills in merchandising, branding, and strategic planning, which have been valuable in my professional journey.
View moreI would recommend this uni especially if you like to travel. The university has numerous partnerships with unis abroad. If you are willing to do the paperwork you can do 2 Erasmus Programmes and 2 Short-Term Studies. You study your course and you learn about the culture along the way.
View moreJust completed my first semester at Coventry University, I can say it was a good experience overall, with both highs and lows. One of the best aspects has been the university environment, which feels supportive and welcoming. The lecturers are particularly impressive—engaging, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about their subjects. They make learning enjoyable and accessible, encouraging participation and offering real-world applications of the material.
However, there were some challenges. The biggest downside for me was dealing with homesickness. It was tough missing family and friends, and it did take a while to settle into a new routine.Despite the emotional challenges, the overall experience was very positive. The quality of education and the welcoming community make me excited for what’s to come in the future semesters.
View moreI highly recommend Coventry University’s MSc Digital Marketing Management program. The curriculum’s depth, practical projects, and expert faculty create a valuable learning experience. Access to advanced facilities prepares students for real-world challenges. This program exceeded my expectations and equipped me for a successful digital marketing career.
View moreIt is a diverse school and has a very accommodating environment with helpful lecturers. Studying at London campus enabled me to see a different worldview.
While some courses were practical, some were not.
View moreI would like to recommend it as it not only helped my but also widened my ability of thinking and the best place would library and silent rooms for students and the staff is friendly, I won’t say it feels like home but I can say its a comfortable place to be.
View moreWith my own personal experience, I am very thankful to this university, as i was in a program that is offered by this university to do my final year in UK which was off tremendous help from my parents’ financial perspective. What I like is the off campus dormitory , and the lecturers whom were giving 100% to the students. I would definitely recommend this university.
View moreEducation at the university is quite good. The way modules are taught as well as grading tests/examinations are excellent. However, customer service of the university is quite poor. Every semester there are always issues concerning enrollment, and such issues go unsolved for weeks. Emails sent to the various faculties take forever to be replied to.
View moreThe University has been quite good to be honest from the teaching staff to the helping staff ( IT Services, Student Hub members, Welfare Members), they all have been quite attentive towards any problems that I’ve faced in the past.
View moreCoventry University, ranked among 601-650 in the QS world ranking list 2022 is an average university. I think it is too much crowded by international students. Modules are great but could have been better. Being an international students, i’m not getting the international exposure at all. Wish i would have not taken this university.
