The education was fantastic as well as the ability to be able to have everything I need on campus such as the gym, the library as well as food places. It is a great place to study as well as a peaceful place.
View moreThe university has a very expansive campus with a range of facilities on offer. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the university, and I found there were plenty of opportunities to meet and socialise with people at any given moment during my time at UKC. I found the atmosphere on the campus to be positive and full of different personalities. I was a fan of the layout of the campus as it is well spread out and there is a range of different locations and types of accommodations on the campus. My only real criticism of the University would be the lack of accessibility for grocery shopping. The on-campus stores are extremely overpriced, whilst the nearest available shops for food and necessities require a lot of walking or waiting for a bus which can be tedious.
View moreThe University of Kent is a lovely place for students who want a breath of fresh air, literally. Filled with its nature-vibe streets and old-fashioned historic buildings with stories behind them, the university is placed in an area where everything is easily located and transport is always available. The university is one of the top European Diverse universities where you’ll meet people from all over the world. They very much hone on this with the wide range of festivals, seminars, and social justice programs they take part in. Even though COVID-19 has meant a lot of changes to teaching styles and sometimes confusion within the syllabuses, the University of Kent has slowly regained the steps especially with the new Science and Sports building freshly built since 2021. The course International Business was a very diverse course that allowed for personal growth and individual ideas adapted from the different sectors learned, marketing, finance, or global strategy work which would definitely recommend.
View moreThe university is not focused on the development of their students. The teaching is poor, lectures either did no have the knowledge depth to be teaching the subject or they did not have the communication capabilities to get it across.
Subjects were just rushed out to get the information across, very boring and no interest in developing the students to be knowledgeable in the subject.
The university experience was poor, lack of support outside of the studies, which in themselves was only 16 hours a week.
