The programme in and of itself is quite a challenging one considering most students applying for the course arrive with limited knowledge of its intricacies, however most professors and tutors are quite understanding of this and allocate time and energy into ensuring students grasp information and can succeed in the respective unit/module. The facilities, specifically those relevant to the Computer Science course are quite impressive with several areas, computers, 3D printers, Aruduino boards, etc allotted especially for computer science students. Lectures however can be somewhat redundant to attend as material may be repeated, or some professors make the assumption that students already understand the material presented to them which many-a-times is not the case. The computer science community including students from the same year and years above as well as some professors is very tight-knit and accepting having many streams of communication as well as cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds – in fact the university as a whole is fairy international in comparison to most others. The student life is good, especially for freshers there are many activities and events organised to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and accepted in their new venture and the students union is quite involved in many aspects of your university life. The town is pretty lively considering there are many students in Bath so nightlife tends to be quite good, Bristol is also quite accessible and its nightlife is great. University of Bath is quite a reputable university so I am quite confident that following the completion of my degree my career prospects will not be limited, this is backed up by evidence from alumni who have progressed into well-paying and activating professions.

The course teaches how to develop a strong mathematical base and an understanding of the balanced combination of science and technology, including necessary software tools(Python, SQL, Oracle) for putting knowledge into reality, specifically in tackling the issues associated with small and large data sets.

Overall, Bath greatly serves the purpose of proving a top-class education with commendable faculty and courses. The overall opportunities created from attending University at Bath are great since the various departments are sponsored by industry-leading firms, proving a lot of exposure and networking opportunities. This also provides access to exclusive events and job-related workshops. The only disadvantage is that while there are lots of athletic opportunities, CO-curricular activities take a back-seat, partly because the campus isn’t very big. The student life in Bath is also limited, meaning some University experiences aren’t available.
