A place of great diversity and consequently a great flourishing space to widen your horizons, METU is not prominent solely because of its wonderful instructors and professors (who are, truly, magnificent most of the time) but also because of its student profile. This campus enables many students of many backgrounds come together and thus change their perspectives in their lives; METU is also a place to change your life. You CAN start yoga, climb a mountain. Drinking wine on sunny spring afternoons under a tree can be your go-to activity. You can spend HOURS cramming in the library the night before a final, but still, it does not feel so bad as lying on the couch at your parent’s house. It has an air of… dream-y teenage life. In terms of education quality among the best schools in Turkey. They are helpful and have all kinds of opportunities for learning. In short, it is a successful school both in terms of campus and education.

METU has many advantages for students in every aspect. This university prepares the students for a successful academic life. It has a different campus and environment. This environment motivates the students and contributes to the success of them. On the other hand, METU provides an active social life. The students can do many things according to their interests. They can participate in a club that is suitable for their interests. There are also many places where the students spend time with their friends. Every student is friendly, so nobody feels lonely in this campus. METU provides all this opportunities.Therefore, being a METU student is a privilege.

I think the most important feature of METU is the campus. Students can easily satisfy their needs thanks to Çarşı which is a place all stores are located in. Secondly, you can participate in lots of different student clubs. Music, sports or arts… you can find a course or activity about your hobby. Thirdly, you can meet different people who came METU from all over the world – sharing a common culture, which students call “METU culture”, just make students feel closer to each other.

Middle East Technical University is ranked as one of the best universities both in Turkey and in the world. With its highly qualified teaching staff and well designed courses, it offers students a great learning experience although it can be challenging sometimes. Aside from the educational aspect, it also provides students with diverse student clubs according to their interests. Being a METU graduate not only means having an accomplished education, it also means being an individual who has gained or improved an interest of him/herself.

Middle East Technical University is one of the first of a few most successful universities in the country. It’s known for its academic success as it is on a list which enables us to see the most prestigious universities all over the world. METU came 80th one of these international lists. In addition to its academic success it’s well known for the facilities it provides its students with. Starting out with the freedom the students and the people living on campus have, the other opportunities METU provides its students with are; a good education, plenty of student clubs, many social events, and concerts that take place throughout each and every academic year. The university has a very big campus where students, academicians, and many animals live together. Once you enter the campus, what draws your attention is how people are respectful towards others and how people care about the other people. In many aspects, Middle East Technical University is the best, I believe.

I believe that METU is the leading university of Turkey where there is a free environment and there is no limit for thinking, inventing, searching or expressing ideas. At METU, there is such a peaceful and respectful atmosphere that I feel at home and everybody is my sister and brother. Also, if you lose something, you don’t worry because you know that somebody will take it somewhere safe where you can get it back. With its infinite number of trees, you feel like you are in a camp in a forest. The campus covers 2/3 of Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. You can chat with friends or lie down on the grass reading your novel at enormous DEVRİM (meaning revolution) stadium. After graduation, I will miss METU, but I know that I can always visit my home.
