Radboud University was founded on 17 October 1923 and is situated in the oldest city of the Netherlands. It has seven faculties and enrols a high number of students every year (over 19,900) and has a strong focus on research.

Radboud University has a medical department linked to the Radboud University Medical Centre. This Centre is a large teaching hospital located on the Heyendaal campus along with the college buildings for Natural Sciences. The Erasmus Tower and the Erasmusgebouw, where you can find the Faculty of Arts are situated at the south end of the campus next to the sports centre (USC).

Radboud University has included on-campus residence halls, a sports centre, and several science buildings. The institution has also been listed among the most attractive universities in the Netherlands due to its beautiful green campus.

Studies at Radboud University

Radboud University has seven faculties and enrols almost 20,000 students in 112 study programmes covering the areas of Business, Economics, Environment, Politics, and many more. It has 37 international bachelor’s programmes taught in English and several more in Dutch. It also operates 76 master’s which are research-based programmes that are internationally accredited by the Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO).

Among the most popular bachelor programmes of study are BScs in Business Administration and Economics and Business Economics. As for master’s, there are MScs in Business Administration, Economics, Human Geography, Spatial Planning, Environment and Society Studies, and Political Science. These courses of study are taught by experienced professionals who use a variety of research and education methods to prepare students for life after university.

In 2010, the professor Andre Geim and Professor Konstantin Novoselov, related to Radboud University, were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for the discovery of graphene, the thinnest material in the world.
