IHE-Delft is a great place to study if you have decided to go for a multicultural experience related to water subjects. This is one of the strongest point IHE-Delft offers to those who came to study.
One of the things I enjoyed the most at IHE-Delft was, the opportunities that allow every student to analyse and solve complex problems, in a tailor-made way and not imposing a strict and static approach of thinking. For instance, as a water treatment engineer I realize that rather than just a technical solution, water problems required an integral and holistic approach given the context of each country. I found this really important, it gave me a broader way of thinking. Besides, you have the chance to know world-class lecturers from different sectors that makes the programs more dynamic and outside the box – oriented. This is complemented with the wide network of professionals you get to know from short courses and from your program.
I would recommend IHE-Delft if you have decided to invest in a meaningful experience. The people, staff and of course the small but vibrant city of Delft makes this whole opportunity a worthy experience.
View moreIHE…the best university I have studied so far! Great people, amazing professors, superb quality of education, in total it has everything. I’m lucky to be studying in IHE. They will give a lot of pressure but trust me, you will learn a lot.
View moreIt is a multicultural university that mainly focusses on water related topics. I really like their approach towards teaching the subjects and the way they encompasses students from various backgrounds.
View moreThere are only 2 universities in the city of Delft. One is TU Delft and the other is IHE Delft. When it comes to size, IHE can’t be compared with TU, but when it comes to teaching or publications, IHE is not far behind TU. IHE is different from other institutes, because of its module system instead of the semester system. A student doesn’t have to wait the whole semester for exams, instead, after having two modules (3 weeks per module), students have to go through examinations. The benefit of such a system is that your knowledge about the course still remains fresh so you are able to do good in exams.
The second thing about IHE, that really fascinates me about its international culture and extracurricular activities. There are students from various countries covering all the continents. It is a really good opportunity to learn and experience the culture of different people here at this university. Not being a very big institute, everyone knows you here and you develop a family-like bond here.
Amidst of busy and hectic schedule, IHE also arranges events such as cultural nights, sports day, DJ nights to promote extracurricular activities in the campus and allow students to have some FUN.
Overall IHE is a nice place to study, learn the culture and everlasting friends. 🙂
View moreI really like the modular system of education here which is a bit different from semester system in other universities. First, theory is taught and to know how it works experiments and field trips are conducted. So it is a perfect mix of theoretical and practical knowledge.
Second thing I like about the university is the environment. There are people from different cultures and different countries, so one learns a lot about the perspective and opinions of others. Moreover, from time to time there are a lot of other extracurricular activities like sports day, cultural nights, seminars, workshops, so the university is not only about education but it provides you opportunities to relax and PARTY:).
