What I truly like about the School of Economics in Lund is its structure and organization of courses. It is always clear what the student has to accomplish in order to pass the examinations. On top of that, I believe that the teachers are competent and passionate about their specific course content. I would truly recommend the school to my friends!
However, no school can be completely perfect. In the case of Lund University, I believe that some examinations have been created on a too low or too high level. For instance, If an exam is extremely difficult one semester, the very same exam the next semester tends to be very easy. Therefore, I think that the school has to put in more effort in order to find the right balance. That would in turn generate an equal educational level for all students.
Lund is a lovely city and a great majority are really happy about their choice of study location. There are a lot of events happing throughout the whole semester, several clubs called “Nationer” offers clubs, brunches, lunches, dinners and organize other activities. On top of that, every department has their own student union in which the student can choose to involve themselves in. I was for instance enrolled in “The Novice Committee” for a year and planned activities for new students. During my time in the committee we often discussed how we could be even more involving towards international students. Even if it is a pretty international school, for instance the main language spoken in the union is English, different activities and events are held for international students and so on, I believe the school could be even more inclusive towards incoming students.
I will graduate in June and thanks to the university and my friends, I feel ready! The university has taught me a lot that could be useful in my professional life. Overall, I would truly recommend the school to others – both national and international students!
