Academics at Universitat de Barcelona Business School

UB Business School offers different programs such as Executive MBA, MSc in Business Research and PhD in Business, which cover a wide range of subject areas. Many of its programs are delivered entirely or at least partially in English. Some of the courses offered by the School are taught jointly with universities overseas, which increases student mobility and creates opportunities for students and alumni to expand their networks.

The Executive MBA is delivered over a period of one academic year. It develops students’ skills and knowledge in management and teaches them techniques used in the current business environment.

The MSc in Business Research is also delivered over a period of one academic year. Students who undertake this program learn the methodology and technical skills required to conduct research on business competitiveness. The MSc in Business Research prepares students for a doctoral thesis as well.

The PhD in Business offered by the School is focused on high-level research activities in business and management. Students receive thorough training through seminars, workshops and conferences, which supports their prosperity throughout the degree program.

UB Business School offers Summer School and Short programs as well. They allow students to dedicate their efforts to learning the specifics of one particular business area. These programs are taught by professionals and research leaders in a particular field.

Business School students also have access to foreign language courses available at the School of Modern Languages.

Campus & Student Life

UB Business School is located in the Diagonal Knowledge Gateway Campus. The Economics and Business CRAI Library is the place where students could find valuable resources, which could support students’ learning and research. It includes computer rooms and group-work rooms and offers services, which students could take advantage of.

The University has 100,000 sq. m. of sports facilities, which students can use to do various sports activities. The facilities include swimming pools, tennis courts, a football pitch, a rugby pitch, etc. All facilities are located within five minutes of the Business School’s campus.

Career & Alumni

The University’s Careers Service offers company placements and provides career advice. It also organizes workshops and other events, which allow students to improve their employability and meet employers. In order to ensure that students are aware of all opportunities for professional career development, the University provides information about vacancies in the job market.
