Overall, my experience at the UMA has been positive. It is located in city with a very good quality of life, which makes studying there much easier and more enjoyable. Living cost are relatively affordable compared to Madrid or Barcelona.
Academically the university offers solid training and has some very good professors who are clearly commiteed to teaching and research.
What I liked most was the balance between academic life and personal life, as well as the opportunities to collaborate on projects and gain research experience. What I like least was the lack of organization in some services and occasional communication issues (Metro Malaga needs to big much much bigger).
I would recommend this univeristy, especially to students who value a good academic environment combined with a high quality of life and strong regional economy.
