I highly recommend the Complutense University. It has a varied study program and, in particular, Law is focused on the challenges of the 21st century, providing the student with complete and integrated training through a solid study plan and competent teaching staff. Some aspect to improve would be the outdated facilities resulting from the underfinancing of the Community of Madrid in public universities.

My university experience was truly fantastic. The professors were exceptional, and their wealth of knowledge and expertise made the learning experience phenomenal. The subjects I studied were incredibly interesting, and the environment was just what I had hoped for. I learned so much during my time at university, and I’m grateful for the opportunities it provided me. I would recommend it.

I studied law at the Complutense University of Madrid.
I put my experience there a 3/5.
I had a great time there: campus is huge and very well communicated with the city center, the library is well equipped and the perfect place where to study and in general there is great collaboration between students.
However, the educational system is quite outdated, the teachers are very demanding and the technology does not exist in class.
Most of the law professors were from the old school, which is not a bad thing, but which is very noticeable when it comes to ways of teaching.
As I said, in my opinion, the teachers expect a lot from you, and the level of the subjects is difficult, having to find a way to summarize all the information that they offer you in class. However, it must be said that you learn a lot and you come out changed in terms of levels of responsibility.
Practice is not a strong point of this university, 90% of classes are theoretical, and you get little practical experience.

One thing I like the most is that there are many teachers who are very wise and experienced. However, sometimes you are taught by another type of teacher that you can tell they don’t like teaching. They make the class boring. Also, my classmates and I always agree that there are quite a few subjects that are not really important but at the university, they give a lot of importance to them. The university life, the classmates and the activities you make with them make your studies more bearable.

I only recommend entering the law career if you really like it and you are passionate about it, because if you do not want to leave it continuously. I consider that the career itself is not bad, that is, most of the subjects are interesting, the bad: the teachers and the faculty. There is zero interest in helping the student and solving the doubts or problems that they have. Except for a few teachers, the rest go to class, read you some slides and leave. I also think that there should be theoretical-practical classes and more help with the use of legal language since we are not used to using it in our day to day. In summary, there is a great passivity in this university with respect to the student.

There are very different people, the program is very good and there are very good teachers. When we were in quarantine, the online program did not work very well … and the organization did not go well, but despite this, they tried to provide us with facilities … As a public university I recommend it 100%
