The University offers a variety of activities/opportunities outside of your degree. The international environment is great! The smaller class sizes allows for students to have more personalized learning and form relationships with their peers and teachers.

I’ve had the privilege of being a student at IE University, where I’ve been pursuing a degree in arts. My experience at IE University has been highly rewarding and unique. One of the aspects I appreciate the most is the university’s strong emphasis on interdisciplinary learning. The opportunity to collaborate with students from diverse fields, including business, technology, and social sciences, has enriched my artistic endeavors. This cross-pollination of ideas has added depth and diversity to my creative work.

IE University’s international perspective is another significant advantage. The institution’s diverse student body and faculty from various corners of the world have broadened my artistic horizons and encouraged me to think more globally. In the field of arts, where cultural influences play a pivotal role, this global outlook has been invaluable.

The university also invests in modern resources and technology, providing students with access to cutting-edge software, creative tools, and state-of-the-art facilities. These resources have allowed me to explore new mediums and techniques, pushing the boundaries of my creativity.

Furthermore, IE University places a strong emphasis on practical experiences. This practical orientation has given me insights into the professional art world and how to navigate it effectively. Opportunities for internships and collaborations with art institutions have been instrumental in bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world application.

On the downside, tuition costs at IE University can be relatively high, which may pose a financial challenge for some prospective students. Additionally, the university’s programs are quite intensive, demanding a substantial time commitment and strong time management skills.

In conclusion, I would wholeheartedly recommend IE University to students seeking an arts education with an interdisciplinary and global perspective. The institution’s innovative resources, practical experiences, and international approach have significantly enriched my artistic journey. Nevertheless, it’s crucial to consider the financial aspect and be prepared for the demanding nature of the programs. If you’re willing to invest in your arts education and are committed to hard work, IE University offers a truly unique and rewarding artistic experience.

The University itself is sufficient, it is deficient in a lot of features such as a sizable accommodation which could house a substantial amount of students. The University invests very well in the professors it hires and in most cases we have some great professors. However, I must say that the university isn’t tight enough with who gets admitted, and thus there tend to be a lot of unmotivated and incompetent students who tend to bring down others grades when they work in groups and such. I wouldn’t consider this University to be very ‘innovative’ or ‘futuristic’ since a lot of departments (extracurricular) are reluctant to change and student feedback tend to have little or no effect.

I very much like my course specifically, it has subject, teachers and people that make the entirety of it very unique and enjoyable. And while this sways my opinion in the university as a whole I do see some weak points in its system. The university tends to act like a business, finding the moat possible ways to generate profit rather than thinking of itself as a means to educate people. I also don’t like how the courses are so spread out, we barely have any points if contact with other subjects and therefore only become close to our class. I do think that for my course specifically, Design, the teachers are experts in various fields such as architecture, graphic or interior which gives us a good view of every aspect of design.

I really like the university environment and the futuristic outlook of all the bachelors, but specially the bachelor in design (which is what im studying). The good thing about IE is that it combines a big Business background into every bachelor, so you get those skills necessary for working in the real world.

The school has amazing services and is surrounded by international culture. The lectures provided are up to date and world-class. The school cares about the opinions of the students and also has several clubs activities.

My favorite thing about IE University is the international environment. There are over 100 different nationalities on campus, which provides students with the opportunity to learn and embrace other cultures.

The bachelor in design is a great program for students that would like to learn different fields in the area, as well as, social science courses. The program is composed of a diverse range of subjects that enrich us as future designers and complements our education with different subjects to create visuals, products, spaces and/or experience that would have a positive impact in the user’s life by truly understanding the costumers’ needs.

Since my time here, the school has evolved quite a bit, as it is a fairly young university. I believe that the school’s approach to education is modern but the students at the university really put it off. Most of the students don’t have the motivation to work and this results in serious class segregation. As this is a small university, this ends up happening within nearly every class and degree.

The best thing about this university is that they have many connections to other private companies around Spain and this helps students get internships or jobs after they graduate through their careers portal (especially if you’re studying BBA) and this is indeed quite an attractive trait. The instruction of the teachers are good and they do teach new and valuable information despite not all of them speaking English perfectly.
From a design standpoint (since this is my major), I can say that the faculty will listen to you if you have suggestions or complaints. The department manages to get guest speakers to give talks to the design and architecture students very frequently. The course itself touches upon many facets of design and the lessons are strategically planned so that students will be able to apply their knowledge to other areas they’re currently studying. This school also has a successful exchange program with partnerships between many international universities.

No school is perfect, however. The school itself is situated in a remodelled convent in the small town of Segovia; and if you’re excited about exploring the rest of Spain or doing fun things while you’re not studying then you won’t appreciate its location. Segovia campus students will end up spending a lot of time and money on transportation to other cities because this town has close to nothing to do.
Since the university only has a small amount of space it can use, a lot of the facilities are small and many people don’t stay in the dorms. Because everyone is quite busy and lives far away, student run clubs don’t usually continue past the first month of the new term. It would be more active perhaps if teachers were involved in keeping them active however most professors here are part time or working professionals so they do not have a stake on what happens around campus. Because of the lack of student involvement in school, it’s harder to form friendships with other people unless you go out to clubs with them frequently.
If you’re interested in technology, this school isn’t for you. A lot of the latest technology and conversation surrounding technology doesn’t happen at IE, which can be very problematic for the new job market that is centred towards technology.
The international aspect that IE is so proud of isn’t really celebrated, and frankly it means that there are a lot of French and Portuguese in school which isn’t exactly international by a foreigner’s standards. Whether you’re international or not doesn’t mean really matter ultimately.
Overall, I would recommend IE University as a second choice school or a “safety” school for students looking to apply here.

The way of teaching is different than other universities, as they use a more didactic and creative way of teaching. Also, they are always encouraging students to attend conferences and meeting provided by them so they can expand their horizon and start creating their own network.
