The Universitat de Barcelona promotes sharing responsibility for achieving success, with every individual contributing to the overall effort. Professors are punctual for classes, students are expected to be prompt as well, and support staff must ensure that facilities are prepared for instruction and security measures are in place. All parties are required to work cohesively in order to accomplish this objective.
View moreI can honestly say that Barcelona University has been a great experience for me. I have been able to have a lot of flexibility in my courses and curriculum, which has been really helpful and relieved a lot of stress that I had coming into college. I also love how versatile it is. You can choose a niche and really focus on that niche. If you want to go out and have a good time, there are plenty of options for that. But if you want to focus on academics and do some science-related extracurricular activities, there are lots of options for that too. You are able to customize your experience. And with such a large student population, it is not hard to find friends and classmates who are like you and share similar interests.
View moreIn general, I enjoyed the degree. There are very interesting subjects, the teachers have a lot of experience and the programme has an enriching interdisciplinary approach. However, I missed more dynamic classes to discuss and learn in a less theoretical and magisterial way. The campus is old and has poor facilities. The fieldworks are nice.
View moreI feel that the student life is missing for the PhD students and I’ve had a lot of headaches as an international student dealing with the administration. The professors are excellent and you have access to state of the art facilities and interesting projects.
