My time at Rhodes University was one of the best experiences of my life. The lecturers were brilliant and genuinely invested in their students’ success, always approachable and willing to provide extra support when needed. Classes were well-organized, timely and were both interactive and informative, which made learning engaging and enjoyable.
The campus is located in a small ‘student town’, which gives you a strong sense of freedom and independence, while still being part of a close-knit community. In my science program, there was a great balance between theory and practical work. We spent a lot of time in the lab, which was incredibly valuable for building real hands-on skills. The laboratories were well-equipped with everything we needed for experiments, and the support staff were always available and helpful.
Another highlight for me was the flexibility of the program structure, with many options to choose from when it came to courses and subject combinations. This exposure to different fields of science helped me discover my interests and learn about opportunities in research and industry.
Overall, my years at Rhodes were inspiring and unforgettable. I would happily do it all over again and recommend Rhodes University to anyone considering a degree in science.
