Rhodes University, especially the English Department, surpassed my expectations. Their focus on developing critical thinkers and readers of society helped me to develop my research and writing skills. I enjoyed the variety in the syllabus (which included everything from Shakespeare to Tolkien) and felt that the bi-weekly group tutorials encouraged my academic development. Additionally, their administrative departments were supportive, and responded to requests promptly and comprehensively. The general atmosphere on campus helped foster inclusivity and promoted positive global citizenship skills. I would unquestioningly recommend Rhodes to any student considering an Arts education.
