I have completed two qualifications with UNISA namely PGCE senior and FET phase and Advanced Diploma in Accounting Sciences. It is still by far my preferred distance learning institution. The tuition fees are relatively affordable when you compare to your traditional university and the ability to access the study material via myunisa makes these easy. The lectures are accessible and now and then they have teams classes and when you are unable to attend you can watch the recording. The exams are seamless, you write them at home and you need to have a laptop that has the camera and you are good to go.

They’re leveraging tech to provide quality healthcare support and making sure students have access to the resources they need. Overall, UNISA’s approach is centered around helping students thrive
View moreI like the University Of South Africa because it makes sure that I am able to attend their classes everyday with the tutors and lecturers involved to answer the questions that I may find confusing. Unisa makes sure that I write the exams on time and they provide me with edu bundles monthly to make sure that I attend classes and write exams.

“UNISA is a reputable institution offering flexible and accessible education. Its distance learning model is ideal for students with busy schedules or those living far from campuses. The university’s wide range of courses and programs cater to diverse interests and career goals. While some students may face challenges with self-motivation and technical issues, the support services and resources available can help overcome these hurdles. Overall, UNISA provides a valuable opportunity for students to pursue higher education and achieve their academic goals.”
View moreAt Unisa we get a very small amount of money of monthly allowance, whereas you being their students limit you to many opportunities.
And also the anytime data we get is too small, it is finished without even knowing.
This university is one of the top universities in Africa and the curriculum is way more advanced than before. The system is more digital than before.
Unisa has open distance learning which is flexible for people who have tight schedules or working full time.
The university as a whole generally doesn’t seem to care about responding to emails and generally don’t answer call. There are always delays in everything and the support staff is always making excuses and not taking accountability for poor service and communication.
View morePersonally, studying in a distance learning environment is flexible and convenient. I can learn from anywhere, fitting it around my schedule. Interaction is mostly online through chats and video calls. Self-discipline and tech skills are crucial. It offers a wide range of resources but lacks face-to-face connections. It’s empowering and opens doors to diverse learning experiences.
View moreI love studying at Unisa because I am one person who enjoy reading and studying alone. I love the fact that I attend my classes online via Teams. I am one person who is shy to stand out or give an opinion in front of a crowd. That is why I prefer studying online. Another thing about the university is that they provide data for students to get access to internet to do some research they need and also be able to log into the online classes. I love my university and I would recommend anyone who is focused to study alone and determined about his/her school work.
View moreI enjoy studying at UNISA because it is a distance learning experience. You study at home and write exams at home and also attend classes virtually. I don’t like how they take time to respond to students email queries. I like how they help us with data so we can be able to attend the virtual classes and access our student portals.
